Position Overview
As Mahaana's Social Media and Community Manager, you will be the voice of our brand across all social platforms, creating engaging content, building community, and responding to customers in real-time. You'll manage 60+ posts monthly while fostering trust through authentic engagement and turning customers into brand advocates.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and publish 60+ social media posts monthly across all platforms
- Monitor and respond to ALL comments, DMs, and mentions within 2 hours
- Manage platform-specific content (Instagram carousels, TikTok videos, LinkedIn posts, Twitter threads)
- Execute trend-jacking strategy, especially for TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Build and moderate community platforms (WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels)
- Coordinate with influencers and manage ongoing partnerships
- Collect and surface user-generated content (testimonials, success stories)
- Track social media metrics and provide weekly performance reports
- Manage social media crisis response and sentiment monitoring
- Collaborate with content creator on video distribution strategy
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years of social media management experience
- Expert knowledge of all major platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter)
- Strong copywriting skills with ability to adapt tone for different platforms
- Fluency in both English and Urdu social media culture
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva proficiency minimum)
- High emotional intelligence for community management and conflict resolution
- Understanding of social media algorithms and platform best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours (some evening/weekend engagement required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in fintech, banking, or financial services social media
- Experience managing communities of 10,000+ members
- Track record of viral content creation
- Understanding of financial literacy topics
- Crisis communication and reputation management experience
