About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to help us build and ship software using a modern, AI-assisted workflow. You will work from clear, well-defined specifications and use AI coding tools and agents (such as Claude Code and Cursor) to design, implement, test and release features across our codebase.

This is a hands-on senior role. You will own technical outcomes from specification to production, set engineering standards for how we work with AI tools, and mentor others on doing it well. You are not expected to have used these tools for years. You are expected to be curious, rigorous and keen to get good at them.

What you will do

• Turn approved requirements into precise technical plans: identify the repositories, services, data models and fields affected, and document the approach so that engineers and AI agents can build against it reliably.
• Design, build and review features, using AI coding assistants and agents to speed up implementation, unit testing and refactoring.
• Review AI-generated code critically for correctness, security, performance and maintainability, and make sure it meets our standards before it merges.
• Own the quality of what you ship, including unit and integration tests, and work with QA to confirm the result meets the requirement.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code, and help diagnose issues using staging logs and monitoring.
• Work with the Technical Business Analyst, designers and product owners to clarify requirements and flag gaps or risks early.
• Help define and document team practices: prompt and context conventions, repository guidance for agents, code review expectations and safe-use guidelines.
• Mentor other engineers and share what you learn about effective use of AI tooling.

What we are looking for

Essential

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a record of shipping and maintaining production systems.
• Strong skills in at least one backend language and framework used in our stack (Python / .NET), and solid fundamentals in APIs, databases and system design.
• Experience reading, reviewing and improving other people's code, including large or unfamiliar codebases.
• Good judgment about architecture and trade-offs, and the ability to explain your decisions clearly in writing.
• Working knowledge of automated testing, Git workflows and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Sound security awareness, including handling sensitive data responsibly.
• Experience with Azure Cloud platform and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar).
  

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containers and orchestration, and with observability tools.
• React Native mobile development.
• Experience working across several repositories or services at once.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as financial services.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar tool integrations for AI agents.
• Experience with design-to-code workflows (e.g. Figma).

• We use anonymized, realistic staging data for development and testing. Agents and tools do not get access to production data.
